American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a valid OH or compact license for a Level III neonatal intensive care assignment in Ohio.

Job Details

• Position is in a Level III NICU caring for neonates from 22 weeks gestation and above,

• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30,

• Patient population includes neonates requiring respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, surgical, and cardiac interventions,

• Specialized procedures performed include management of arterial and central lines, and ventilator settings,

• Medication administration is done using the Pyxis system,

• Patient documentation is completed using Nationwide Children's EPIC EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration,

• Current BLS and NRP certifications required,

• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required,

• Minimum experience in Level III or IV NICU settings required,

• Competency in cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation, gastrointestinal feeding methods, infection control, and IV therapy,

• Two recent professional references required, one must be from a supervisor or leadership role,

Additional Information

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including NPs, pharmacists, therapists, respiratory services, and social services,

• Manage complex neonatal cases including those with respiratory distress, glucose imbalances, and post-surgical needs,

• Demonstrate expertise in use of multiple ventilator types and neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions,

• Effective SBAR communication with care teams and families is expected,

• Locals are accepted without pay adjustment,

• Candidates with prior experience at Nationwide Children's Hospital given special consideration,

• Former employees eligible if separated for at least 6 months; current employees are not eligible,

• Adherence to Ohio fingerprinting process is required immediately upon contract acceptance,
