Mix-Plant Supervisor
The Mix Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the mix plant, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant production of blasting products. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of quality and safety while supervising plant personnel and coordinating production activities. The supervisor will work closely with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to meet production goals and adhere to all regulatory and company requirements. Approximately 5 employees directly report to this position. The Mix Plant Supervisor reports directs directly the Emulsion & Mix Plant Manager
Supervise mix plant operations and lead a team to complete safety, compliant, and production goals.
Work alongside Mix Plant operators to complete tasks including but not limited to: conducting safety and housekeeping rounds, cleaning equipment, making product, etc.
Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Complete and maintain accurate documentation for production, safety, and quality compliance.
Conduct daily safety and quality checks
Lead daily meetings to review safety, production schedule, and maintenance activity.
Monitor production processes and make adjustments to maintain product specifications.
Coordinate with maintenance for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and process issues to minimize downtime.
Support Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including Management of Change (MOC) and operating procedure updates.
Train and mentor team members on safety, quality, and operational best practices.
Communicate effectively with leadership regarding production status, issues, and improvements.
Participate in incident investigations.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet ATF Possessor License requirements.
Minimum age of 18.
1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in chemical or explosives manufacturing is preferred.
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions (hot/cold, wet floors, loud environments).
Availability for shift work, overtime, and on-call duties as needed.
High manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively

Work Environment
Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to chemicals and energetic materials.
Requires use of PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
Noise levels may be moderate to high; work involves both indoor and outdoor conditions.
Must adhere to strict safety and quality protocols at all times.
