IT Security Analyst

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Cyber Security Operations Manager to join our IT team, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our systems remain secure, compliant, and resilient in the face of evolving cyber threats. This role will be based at our Staverton site, with some domestic and international travel expected.

The Role

As Cyber Security Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for safeguarding Ontic’s global IT infrastructure and ensuring compliance with critical standards such as ISO27001, CMMC (NIST 800-171), and Cyber Essentials Plus. Working closely with external IT partners, you’ll assure adherence to cyber security standards, legislation, and regulation, while providing expert guidance on secure system development and implementation.

You’ll lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Ontic’s Cyber Security Strategy, oversee response planning and incident management, and represent cyber security across key governance bodies including the Change Advisory Board and the Business Risk Steering Committee. Your insights will help Ontic stay ahead of evolving threats by maintaining close alignment with industry partners such as the National Cyber Security Centre.

About You

You’ll bring a strong technical background and experience in cyber security operations, ideally supported by a degree in Computer Science or a related field, and certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or similar. You’ll have a deep understanding of IT security frameworks (including ITAR, ISO27001, CMMC, and GDPR), vulnerability management, and defence-in-depth methodologies.

You’ll also need strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to provide security leadership across diverse technical and non-technical teams. Your curiosity about emerging cyber threats and commitment to proactive risk management will make you a trusted expert across the business.
