Operating Room RN Job Details

Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)

Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR) – Surgical Services

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 26, 2024 – July 26, 2024)

Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,030 - $2,180

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state eligibility

At least 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience required

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Strong clinical skills in perioperative and surgical nursing

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to individuals undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain and prepare a sterile environment in the OR

Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes during surgical procedures

Accurately document all aspects of patient care and surgical interventions

Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments and care planning
