Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (10/28/2024 – 1/27/2025)

Healthcare Setting: Surgical Services – Operating Room (OR)

Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend, on-call required

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2030 - $2180

Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact eligible

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative nursing)

BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)

Strong clinical skills in surgical services and patient care

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to participate in on-call rotation and work every other weekend

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures

Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations

Prepare, maintain, and monitor a sterile surgical environment

Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly

Accurately document all aspects of perioperative patient care

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality clinical support

Participate in on-call rotation and scheduled weekend shifts as required
