Location: Columbus, OH 43209
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000
Founded in the 1950s we are a 600 employee mechanical contracting firm in Columbus that specializes in HVAC, plumbing, piping, fire protection and prefabrication services for large-scale commercial, healthcare, industrial & institutional projects. Most of our projects range from $5M - $100M and the company itself does north of $150M in revenue each year. For this Project Coordinator position you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth communication, accurate documentation & efficient execution of project tasks from preconstruction through closeout.
What You Will Be Doing
Assist PMs & Superintendents w/ scheduling, documentation & coordination of project activities
Prepare & distribute documents incl: RFIs, submittals, change orders, minutes & progress reports
Maintain project files & ensure compliance w/ company standards, client requirements & regulatory guidelines
Coordinate communication between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors & clients
Support procurement activities by tracking materials, equipment orders & delivery schedules
Monitor project budgets & timelines (flagging variances & assisting w/ corrective actions)
What You Need for this Position
Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in construction or mechanical contracting support roles
Strong organizational skills w/ attention to detail & ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in MS Office Suite & experience w/ construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
Knowledge of mechanical systems, construction processes & industry terminology preferred.
