Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring Epic experience and a NH or compact license.
Responsibilities
Work in a 10-bed ICU within a hospital setting
Care for critically ill adult patients with medical emergencies, post-surgical cases, respiratory failure, sepsis, and stroke cases
Some pediatric critical care cases may be managed for stabilization prior to transfer if needed
Shift is 12-hour days from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
Every third weekend is required
Assignment length is 8 weeks
Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required
Responsibilities include managing critical care interventions and collaborating with intensivists and hospitalists
Acute stroke cases managed in conjunction with telestroke and tele/neurology services
Pass/fail competency tests in Tele/ECG and medication required
Dress code or scrub color requirements are not specified
Time off requests must be listed for consideration
Returning employees must meet facility break period policy
Requirements
Active NH or compact state RN license required
Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS
Minimum of 2 years' ICU RN experience required
Epic EMR experience required
No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
Must have a 6-month break from any prior employment at Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities before returning
COVID vaccine with booster and seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
