Excavate and prepare trenches to the required depth, alignment, and grade for pipe installation.
Measure, cut, and position pipes in trenches using appropriate tools and laser levels to ensure accuracy.
Connect pipes and seal joints using cement, glue, or other sealing materials to prevent leaks.
Backfill trenches and compact soil to provide adequate support and protection for installed pipelines.
Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe placement and slope.
Operate or assist with the operation of equipment used in pipe installation and trench preparation.
Coordinate activities with equipment operators, supervisors, and other crew members to ensure efficient workflow.
Follow and promote workplace safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe job site.
Perform quality checks to ensure proper installation, alignment, and function of pipelines.
