Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Associate with at least 7 years of post-admission experience to join the litigation team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will manage operations at the Cape Town office. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
You will be responsible for:
Managing litigation matters.
Supervising a junior attorney and secretary.
Client engagement and strategic planning.
Ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Business development and relationship management.
Qualifications
LLB Degree
Admitted Attorney
Minimum of 7 years post-admission experience
Rights of appearance in the High Court
Skills
The successful candidate must have:
7+ years of post-admission experience in:
Commercial litigation in all courts
Administrative and Constitutional law
Labour & Employment law
Experience working with public sector clients
Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure
Strong client engagement and critical analysis skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and meet tight deadlines
High ethical standards and professional integrity
