The Cook supports and coordinates the preparation and service of nutritious meals and snacks for residents in a Long-Term Care Home, in accordance with all relevant regulations and standards, including the Fixing Long-Term Care Act.
The Cook performs all duties in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Education & Experience: Red Seal Certificate or, Chefs training or equivalent post-secondary certificate/diploma in culinary management or equivalent, as required by the Long-Term Care Homes Act Red Seal certification is preferred, but significant experience in a long-term care setting will also be considered.

We have an immediate hiring need, with onboarding and orientation to begin as soon as possible in preparation for a Temporary Full-Time assignment starting December 1st, 2025, through February 22nd, 2026 (or with two weeks’ notice). Starting Hourly Rate: $21.50 Shifts/Hours: Varying 8- and 12-hour shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays, days and evenings Travel Requirement: Ability to travel within a minimum 30-minute radius in/around Kingston
