Oncology RN Job Details

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York travel nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting: Oncology – Infusion Unit

Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Weekends/Call: No weekends or call required

Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100-$2250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York RN license preferred)

BLS certification (required)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in oncology nursing or infusion therapy (2 years preferred)

Proficient in mediport access, IV insertion, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections

Previous travel nurse experience preferred

Oncology RN Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments to oncology patients

Perform mediport access, IV insertions, and injections as required

Monitor patient responses and manage side effects of cancer treatments

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive clinical support

Educate patients and families on oncology treatment plans and symptom management

Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to all safety protocols
