Job Description

Do you want to be the driver behind explorative, generative and evaluative user experience research within Rabobank while supporting and coaching your fellow UX researchers and designers? You and your job

Shape the bank’s design transformation and grow empathy for all our employees for example by orchestrating a multi-method study on the roll-out of a new way of logging-in globally, identify gaps in the way we recruit talent or better understand who our engineers are and how they work.

You are a curious and creative senior UX researcher who has strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and a drive to understand the totality of the user’s experience. Within your user type, employees, you are known as the go-to person for strategic, tactical and operational UX research for HR and Tech leadership and other departments like marketing, strategy and innovation. Both the design and research processes, as well as UX research methods and tools are to your full understanding. You apply your knowledge to align research questions with the right hypothesis and methods and business priorities.

Furthermore, you keep up to speed with the developments and challenges within UX research, inclusivity and accessibility and like to investigate new technologies. You know how to further expand the utilization of our in-house UX lab, you are always in search of means to better reach all our user types for user experience research and are able to tell compelling stories through high-quality artifacts integrated with research findings.

Our way of working is collaborative. Once you join, we’ll be a UX Research team of 8 supporting over 80 designers with a wide variety of skills and knowledge. Next to a deep understanding of our user types you raise the bar when it comes to the quality of UX research executed, you elevate the research skills of designers and product management and mentor other junior researchers UX researchers.

Practical Examples

Join Design and Chapter leads in business leadership meetings on strategic topics to identify gaps in understanding user’s experiences and advise on additional UX research.

Plan, organize, execute a multi method UX research study and share its insights in compelling way to stakeholders and business owners.

Provide feedback to any research related questions designers have during the weekly walk-in hour you host together with your counterpart.

You and your talent

You have 5+ years of experience as a UX researcher in complex environments

Fluency in both Dutch and English is required. You must be able to conduct user interviews and accurately interpret feedback from predominantly Dutch-speaking users

You confidently take responsibility and ownership of large, complex research projects

You conveniently maneuver through large organizations and know how to get support for your ideas, concepts and UX research studies

You have in-depth knowledge of a variety of UX research methodologies, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and analytics but also diary studies, eyetracking, shadowing and more out in the world field types of UX research

You foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement

You are pragmatic, and want to get better every day
