Quality Inspector

Job Description

Location: Lansing, MI.

Pay: $16.00/hour (paid weekly)

Shifts:

1st: 6:30am–2:30pm

2nd: 2:30pm–10:30pm

3rd: 10:30pm–6:30am

Overtime: Mandatory on most Saturdays

Key Responsibilities

Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming, in process, and finished automotive parts.

Identify non conforming material; tag, segregate, and document defects per company procedures.

Conduct minor rework/repairs when allowable (e.g., light sanding, trimming, component swaps).

Communicate issues immediately to quality and production supervisors to minimize downtime.

Maintain a clean, safe 5S work area and follow all PPE and safety rules.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

6+ months in quality inspection, production, or warehouse work (automotive preferred).

Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 30lbs for an 8 hour shift.

Basic math, reading, and data entry skills; ability to complete inspection logs legibly.

Willingness to work Saturdays and rotate shifts if business needs change.
