Our team is looking for an experienced Extrusion Operator in the Orillia area! In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring extrusion and bagging lines to ensure consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities
Set up/run extrusion/bagging. This includes ensuring correct heat profiles, film/bag sizing, equipment tension, core size, gauge/gram weight, bubble size, trim size, wrinkles/creases.
Conduct regular quality checks: gauge, width, colour/clarity, material strength, film appearance, anti-block/slip performance, etc.
Thread lines (tower, equipment) to your designated areas; assist in changeovers and order setups.
Assist in training helpers/packers; communicate issues and participate in continuous improvement of processes.
Follow all safety procedures (lock-out/tag-out, WHMIS, etc.) and report any hazards.
Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma (Grade 12) required.
Minimum of 2-3 years of extrusion experience in a blown film/plastics manufacturing environment preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with extrusion manufacturing processes (blown film, detail orientation) are important.
Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs (move heavy materials such as rollers, cores, etc) and operate/manipulate equipment.
Shift & Working Conditions
Rotating continental 12-hour shifts: 2 weeks days then 2 weeks nights.
Fast-paced manufacturing environment; standing for long periods; team-oriented but you’ll be expected to manage your line aspects.
Heavy lifting and moving of materials; maintaining a clean and safe work environment is part of the job.
