Maintenance Helper

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Review all policy and procedure manuals and adhere to them.

Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, work-in-progress, etc.

Plan and complete work.

Perform repairs such as painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of the facility.

Perform preventive maintenance on facility, grounds and equipment.

Complete maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse.

Must be able to operate lawnmower and weed eater.

Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards.

Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.

Arrange for and manage outside repair, maintenance and construction services according to procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.

High school diploma or GED required

Associate degree preferred
