Asset Management Associate

Your Tasks & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project managers and engineers throughout the capital investment process to drive timely project closures and ensure a properly stated Asset Under Construction balance for capital projects of 5 million EUR or less.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure complete and accurate asset master data is received to capitalize assets for capital projects of 5 million EUR or less.

Provide technical guidance on capital vs. expense and other Bayer accounting policies.

Manage asset master data and asset lifecycle changes, such as retirements, transfers, etc. for all tangible assets.

Complete reconciliations and roll-forward to support the month-end close process and ensure accurate financial reporting of Bayer’s tangible and intangible fixed assets, including leases.

Collaborate with the Global Office and GPO to identify and resolve issues (for example – SAP posting, system and enablers) timely.

Create and review evidence to comply with internal controls.

Plan, coordinate and execute the annual fixed asset physical inventory.

Support the overall AM closing process together with the SSO Organization.

Who You Are:

Studies in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar. (Mandatory)

Professional experience of 1 years in Accounting or similar. (Mandatory)

Solid Accounting knowledge (Mandatory) & SAP knowledge. (Desirable)

Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Result-orientation, ability to work under pressure and capacity to prioritize properly the workload.

English language skills (Mandatory), any other language is beneficial.

Advanced Excel (Mandatory).

At least 1 year of experience in an Associate position.

Analytical, proactive, with initiative and persistence for follow-up.

Demonstrated teamwork spirit.

Ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Being resolutive, independent and a decision-making person.

Thorough knowledge of Bayer Group Reporting requirements, IFRS and accounting laws.
