About the Role
Acadia Healthcare is seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Director of Business Development to be based at Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry. This high-impact role will focus exclusively on building, strengthening, and expanding our business relationships across the region.
In addition to leading these efforts in our Ohio Region, the individual will serve as a subject matter expert and coach to other acute behavioral health facilities within Acadia’s Ohio network—supporting their teams in developing effective partnerships with local, county, and state law enforcement agencies.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven strategist who thrives at the intersection of healthcare, public safety, and community collaboration.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership Development: Lead strategic outreach, engagement, and relationship management with key community stakeholders—including healthcare providers, social services, government agencies, and justice system partners—across multiple regional markets to drive growth and strengthen referral networks.
Regional Coaching & Support: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Business Development teams at other acute facilities to enhance law enforcement engagement strategies.
Strategic Growth: Work with the Division President and facility leadership to identify new opportunities that increase referrals, admissions, and community awareness through law enforcement and first responder channels.
Performance & Accountability: Monitor performance metrics, provide actionable feedback, and ensure alignment with organizational business development goals.
Collaboration: Partner with Intake, Operations, and Clinical leadership to ensure smooth referral and admissions processes for law enforcement-related cases.
Market Intelligence: Analyze market data, identify trends, and develop targeted plans to expand Acadia’s presence within the law enforcement referral space.
Process Optimization: Utilize Salesforce and analytics tools to track referral activity, measure ROI, and refine outreach initiatives across the division.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
5+ years of business development leadership experience in healthcare, preferably behavioral health or hospital settings.
Proven success in developing institutional or government partnerships, including healthcare providers, social services, government agencies, and justice system partners—across multiple regional markets
Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead, coach, and influence cross-functional teams across multiple facilities.
Strategic thinker with strong data-driven decision-making skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
