Position: Long Term Substitute 1st Grade Teacher
Location: Woodland Elementary School
Woodland Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Long Term Substitute 1st Grade Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young students, encouraging academic, social, and emotional growth and will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with state and national standards while fostering creativity and critical thinking.
Long term Sub Dates: approximately March 9, 2026- May 29, 2026.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and cater to the diverse needs of first-grade students.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
Use various teaching methods to engage students and promote active learning, including hands-on activities, group projects, and interactive technology.
Assess student performance through formal and informal evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to support academic progress.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to report on student progress and collaborate on any necessary interventions.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the overall educational experience at the school.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and any relevant documentation.
Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Compensation: $263.55 per day
