Paraprofessional - Special Education
185-Day Position (10 Month)
Now accepting applications for a Special Education Paraprofessional to work with students with disabilities in a classroom environment under the guidance of a licensed teacher.
Must meet federal criteria to be highly qualified by having completed at least one of the following:
Hold an associate's degree from an accredited college
Completed two years of college coursework (minimum of 48 credit hours)
Passed the ParaPro assessment
Qualifications:
Ability to model and promote a culture of high expectations for student and staff performance
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community members
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
Basic computer skills involving word processing and spreadsheets
Previous experience working with students preferred
Selected applicants must satisfactorily complete a drug and alcohol screen, criminal records check, and Child Protective Services check.
