Setterlin Field Associates possess skills to perform work which is basic to most Pre-engineered Metal Buildings. They erect steel framework of building along with insulation system, exterior wall panels, roof panels and interior liner panels. They are very skillful as "finish" work is visible and often involves expensive materials. Setterlin Field Associates use a wide variety of hand and power tools, and they maintain their tools in good, safe working order.
Each field associate is expected to furnish their own small hand tools and always have their tools with them. The Company discourages associates from using each other's tools, except in emergency situations. As a PEMB Craftsman, you should have all the tools on the following list:
Framing Square, Hack Saw, Claw Hammer, Screwdrivers, Channel-lock pliers, 2' Carpenter's level, 4' Carpenter's level, Torpedo Level, Plumb bob, Crescent wrench, Spade bits - 3/8" through 1", Half round file, Utility knife, 100' Steel tape, Chalk line and reel, Pry bar, Tin snips, Cold chisel, Toolbox with lock, socket set - 7/32" through ", Allen wrenches, Tool belt
Any field associate issued a company fall protection harness must always have it at the jobsite.
Any associate issued company leased Hilti tools must always have on jobsite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Job Knowledge
Handle material up to 100 pounds.
Erect scaffolding, with assistance.
Operate Forklifts, Boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
Operate miscellaneous power tools, as directed.
Metal rough framing, with direction.
Install misc. windows, doorframes and hardware within the PEMB structure, with direction.
Productivity
Associates' level of work output makes money for the company.
Self-starter that initiates proper activity without being told.
Quality
Perform the work right the first time.
Safety
Follow the company safety plan and OSHA regulations.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Housekeeping
Clean up as needed.
Takes care of company equipment.
Attendance
Show up to work in accordance with the attendance policy.
Willing to work overtime and weekends when project requires.
Cooperation
Cooperate with supervisor, co-workers, and others.
Maintain open lines of communication with all parties involved in the project.
