Job Developer Supervisor (VRPA) Position Overview: Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Job Developer Supervisor.

In this role, you will lead a team of internal job developers who help connect individuals with disabilities to meaningful employment opportunities.

As a supervisor, you will guide your team through every step of the job development process-from initial referrals and job readiness training to job placement and retention.

You'll provide coaching on resume writing, interview preparation, and the use of tools like AWARE and Tableau.

You'll also help your team build strong relationships with local employers and community partners, ensuring that participants are matched with jobs that align with their goals and strengths.

This position also plays an important role in supporting OOD's outreach efforts.

You'll work closely with Business Relations Specialists to coordinate events like job fairs, employer spotlights, and training sessions such as Windmills.

You'll help onboard and train new staff, offer technical assistance, and ensure that job developers are equipped to support both participants and employers effectively.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in management, employee development, and public relations.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to use data tools and office software.

Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR) The Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation provides vocational rehabilitation (VR) services to eligible individuals with disabilities to assist them to attain and maintain competitive integrated employment.

OOD works with adults seeking to enter the workforce or retain a job, and with youth beginning at age 14 to assist them as they transition from high school into college and/or the workplace.

Pay Information Starting salary will be step 1, subject to law or union contract requirements.

New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter.

There are cost of living increases to these rates each year and additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years.

The transition timeline for each office is being determined and more information will be provided by the supervisor before the start date.

Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements.

Daytime travel within Ohio may be required.

The selected candidate must provide own transportation or, in order to operate a state vehicle, must have a valid driver's license.

Completion of undergraduate core program in human service area, business or public administration or related field AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in supervisory, administrative or related position.
