Our client, located in the Columbus, Ohio area, is seeking a Network Support Specialist responsible for managing network infrastructure including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and identifying root causes using diagnostic testing tools. This role ensures optimal network performance, security, and reliability across switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Network Support Specialist will execute daily responsibilities related to incident management, device monitoring, network troubleshooting, application support, and upgrade project implementation. A key emphasis is placed on supporting core software and hardware applications across A&Fs retail environment while building strong partnerships with technical support teams.
What Youll Be Doing
Monitoring and supporting the store WAN infrastructure across 1,100+ stores and global offices
Serving as a Jr. Incident Manager during high-priority incidents
Monitoring and supporting store and corporate office network hardware (domestic + international)
Providing support for core applications
Supporting wireless networks, SAN environments, and VOIP systems
Monitoring and managing incidents across Data Centers, Labs, Storage Facilities, and Disaster Recovery sites
What You Need to Bring
Bachelors degree in an IT-related field preferred
Experience with Windows OS; familiarity with Linux systems
Strong communication skills with both technical teams and executives
Knowledge of mainframe operations (MVS) and/or Oracle Batch processes (plus)
Experience troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper network equipment
Retail technical services experience (plus)
Ability to navigate complex technical issues, assess risk, and lead others
