Finance Manager - Reporting and Tax

We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka, looking for a Tax Manager for a leading conglomarate company based in Colombo. The ideal candidate will manage corporate tax compliance, liaise with regulatory bodies, and ensure smooth coordination among internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of tax regulations in Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage tax compliance and other statutory obligations.

Lead communication and follow-up with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) on tax assessments, inquiries, audits, and appeals.

Coordinate tax-related matters with external auditors, finance teams.

Review tax computations, returns, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Provide tax advisory support for business operations, new projects, and transactions.

Monitor legislative updates and assess tax impacts on the organization.

Strengthen internal tax processes and controls to minimize risk.

Support quarterly and annual financial reporting from a tax perspective.

Qualifications & Experience:

Professional accountancy qualification (CASL or ACCA).

Following/partly completed studies at the Sri Lanka Institute of Taxation.

A degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university.

Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in taxation, including exposure to IRD interactions.

Strong understanding of Sri Lankan tax laws and compliance frameworks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in managing external audits and cross-functional teams is an advantage.
