Job Details
This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities to ensure equipment operates reliably and efficiently. The position focuses on manpower planning, leveraging Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and scheduling, and supporting ongoing process improvement efforts across facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
Work Planning & Coordination
Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
Allocate manpower and resources for both planned and unplanned maintenance
Coordinate contractor activities, including scheduling, documentation, and supervision
CMMS Management
Create, track, and close work orders in the maintenance system
Report and analyze technician labor hours
Schedule preventive maintenance tasks and generate performance/compliance reports
Evaluate CMMS data to identify performance trends and recommend improvements
Project & Process Support
Support engineering and maintenance teams with project planning and documentation
Participate in improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance production throughput
Assist with equipment repairs and builds alongside cross-functional technical staff
Inventory & Procurement
Manage maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) purchasing
Maintain accurate records for spare parts inventory
Required Skills
Proficiency in maintenance software tools, including CMMS platforms and Microsoft Excel
Strong background in maintenance disciplines such as hydraulics, controls, boilers, welding, pneumatics, and troubleshooting
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work with hand/power tools
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and operate in varying temperature conditions
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain effective under pressure
Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment and participating in cross-functional teams (e.g., safety, compliance)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred
Prior experience in maintenance planning is required
Proven ability to work independently and direct others
Demonstrated capacity to identify and implement process improvements
Familiarity with various CMMS platforms and general computer skills
