The Finance Officer will support Finance and Admin Director in the implementation of Jhpiego project in Indonesia. She/he will manage the implementation of finance and ensure that the financial systems are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibilities
Implement Jhpiego financial policies and procedures and adhere to donor rules and regulations
Review budget activity, project advances and reconciliation
Review travel authorization request and staff travel expense reports
Review vendor invoices
Review financial documents from provinces and national
Initiate payment process from the field and national and record it in the Quick Book
Process the payment in the bank (S2B platform)
Input expenses and reconciliation from provinces and national into Quick Book and assist Finance and Admin Director on closing monthly QB
Review and conduct surprise check on the petty cash
Monitor completeness of procurement documents (purchase requests, purchase approvals, payments)
Coordinate with F&A Director and other finance and admin team for the implementation of operational office
Assist F&A Director on processing VAT exemption, monthly tax calculation and annual tax reporting
Others as requested by supervisor
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance/accounting for INGO or US-funded awards or contracts, specifically in project budget development and financial reporting
Familiarity with Indonesian Tax Regulations and the VAT exemption process is considered a strong asset.
Proficient in accounting software, with a preference for experience using QuickBooks.
Experienced in utilizing e-banking platforms and well-versed in banking procedures.
Demonstrates diligence, integrity, and maturity, with the ability to manage workloads effectively under pressure.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively as part of the Finance and Administration team.
Possesses excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong command of both written and spoken English is highly desirable.
