We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front Line Manager to lead and inspire a team of Medical Representatives. The primary objective of this role is to
drive and achieve the revenue targets for a specific territory, by managing, motivating, and guiding the field force. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional people management and sales skills who can navigate a highly competitive market. You will be at the forefront of the company’s commercial success, directly impacting its market share and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management: Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of 6-9 Medical Representatives. This includes reviewing their sales pitches, providing hands-on training, and regularly tracking their performance to ensure the achievement of individual and overall sales targets.
Market Strategy & Execution: Drive key marketing activities, conferences, and events to build a strong brand image. You will also be responsible for competitive analysis and proposing a strategic action plan to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers, including doctors and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). You will also manage relationships with wholesalers to ensure optimal inventory levels and smooth supply chain operations.
Training & Development: Conduct regular technical and medical sales trainings to enhance the team's productivity and product knowledge.
Recruitment & Planning: Conduct recruitment of new Medical Representatives as needed. You will also be responsible for creating and monitoring daily and weekly call plans for your team.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a passion for sales and people development.
Educational Qualifications: A university graduate with a degree in any field (pharmacy is preferred). An MBA is preferred for this role.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience within the pharmaceutical industry in the local market.
Skills: High-level people management and influencing skills are a must. The ability to handle and motivate a team is crucial given the high-pressure nature of the role.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Sinhala and English is essential. Proficiency in Tamil would be a significant advantage
