Preconstruction Manager – Commercial Construction Location: Columbus, OH Salary: $140,000 to $160,000 + full benefits + full relocation paid A top-tier commercial builder in Ohio is seeking a talented Preconstruction Manager to join their growing team.

What You’ll DoLead preconstruction efforts from concept through GMP and final buyoutDevelop detailed conceptual estimates from minimal drawings or narrativesManage budgets, schedules, scope development, value engineering, and risk analysisCollaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal operations teamsReview plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and coordinate trade pricingAssist in subcontractor outreach, leveling, and selectionSupport business development during pursuits and RFP responsesOversee transition from preconstruction to operations to ensure project alignment What You BringStrong background in conceptual estimating and early-stage budgeting5+ years preconstruction/estimating experience with a GC or CM firmExperience across commercial, industrial, institutional, or mixed-use projectsAbility to build clear, accurate estimates from incomplete design packagesProficiency with estimating software (Sage/Timberline, OST, Bluebeam, etc.)Excellent communication skills and confidence when presenting to clients Why This Role?Salary $140–160k depending on experienceFull benefits packageFull relocation paidJoin an innovative, growing, people-focused contractor with exceptional leadershipStrong pipeline of commercial work across Ohio
