Reports To: Director of Marketing Operations

Position Summary

At Q, we don't just make products - we tell stories worth remembering. The Videographer is responsible for capturing, crafting, and communicating the essence of who we are across every medium. From the shop floor to the range, and from the mountains of New Hampshire to wherever the mission takes us, this role documents what makes Q different - our people, our craftsmanship, and our unapologetic authenticity.

This is a high-impact, high-travel position that blends creativity, technical skill, and adaptability. You'll be behind the lens, on the move, and in the thick of it - shaping how the world sees Q.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Plan, script, film, and edit cinematic-level video content for product launches, brand campaigns, internal communications, and training.

Capture the story behind the product - from concept to creation - highlighting the craftsmanship, energy, and humor that define Q.

Write and produce compelling long- and short-form content (articles, press releases, captions, and blogs) that reflect Q's tone: bold, direct, and human.

Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to build cohesive campaigns that connect with our audience and elevate our voice.

Conduct on-camera interviews with employees, customers, and industry leaders to tell authentic, story-driven narratives.

Manage content calendars and ensure brand consistency across all digital and print platforms.

Stay ahead of digital trends, firearms industry news, and emerging storytelling techniques.

Plan, coordinate, and execute domestic and international travel shoots - from logistics to gear prep.

Required Skills & Abilities

Exceptional storytelling instincts - you know when to hit record and when to just listen.

Proficiency in professional video capture and editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).

Strong written communication and creative direction skills.

Comfortable managing multiple projects in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.

Ability to coordinate complex travel and shoots with minimal supervision.

Detail-oriented with a relentless drive for quality and consistency.

Must thrive both solo in the field and as part of a tight-knit creative team.

Must be comfortable filming and working around big game animal hunts, including travel to remote outdoor environments.

Must have or be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport.

Must be physically able to carry and operate camera gear in austere environments.

Preferred Skills / Bonus Experience

Drone operation and aerial videography certification.

Experience with lighting design, color grading, and sound engineering.

Familiarity with firearms, hunting, military, or outdoor industry content.

Motion graphics or animation experience (After Effects, Blender).

Experience with live event production or streaming.

Storyboarding, scripting, and pre-production planning.

Strong eye for composition, visual balance, and cinematic pacing.

Education & Experience

Proven background in digital content creation, film production, or multimedia storytelling.

Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical excellence.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This role requires extensive travel, often to remote or rugged environments. You must be physically capable of carrying and operating professional camera equipment in dynamic and austere conditions and adaptable to long days in the field.

While performing the duties of this position, employees regularly engage in verbal communication and manual handling of cameras, tools, and gear.
