Scion Executive Search is seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development who is ready to accelerate our firm's growth and deepen our impact. This full-time role is available for immediate hire. While the position is fully remote, candidates must reside and work full-time from one of Scion Executive Search's designated core states in the Central U.S. or East Coast: Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, or Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities
Drive divisional growth through proactive outbound sales strategies and meaningful client engagement.
Identify and secure new retained executive search partnerships nationwide through strategic outreach and relationship cultivation.
Build and expand the sales pipeline by researching, prospecting, and connecting with prospective clients via phone, email, in-person meetings, and networking.
Consistently achieve and exceed individual billing and performance targets.
Strengthen existing client relationships through thoughtful follow-up, ensuring satisfaction and encouraging repeat partnerships.
Maintain accurate, detailed client records and activity tracking within our CRM (Bullhorn).
Monitor and report on lead generation, sales activities, and client engagement progress.
Leverage LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and social media channels to identify opportunities and expand Scion's reach.
Collaborate cross-functionally to introduce and promote complementary service lines.
Deliver exceptional client experiences through a consultative, relationship-centered approach.
Contribute enthusiasm, initiative, and a growth-oriented mindset to our high-performing, supportive team culture.
Experience Required
Proven success as an individual contributor in driving outbound sales for an executive search firm.
At least 3 years of proven success selling retained executive search services.
Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and a strong passion for developing strategic client partnerships.
Proficient in CRM systems and modern sales tools, committed to leveraging technology and best practices.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
Deep understanding of the national executive search landscape and an established professional network.
Positive energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and a proactive approach to growth. Strategic mindset with the ability to influence, inspire, and produce measurable results.
