Dixon School District #170 is accepting applications for the position of Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. Actual hourly rate will be based upon education and experience.

Madison Elementary School

37.5 hours a week Classroom Paraprofessional

Paraprofessional Duties Include

Monitor and supervise students

Working in a classroom setting or 1-on-1 with a student as needed

Paraprofessional Qualifications

1. Highly Qualified Parapro Approval (60 hours post-secondary work shown on a transcript or passing score on the parapro assessment/diploma or GED)

2. Interest and ability to work with students/teachers

3. Ability to work with others as well as independently

4. Ability to multi-task

5. Available to start ASAP

Salary and Fringe Benefits

Hourly rate is based on paraprofessional license or college credit hours and years of experience - $15.00 - $16.07 based on education and experience.

Ten (10) days per year sick leave.

Two (2) days personal leave per year.

Health, Vision, Dental and Life Insurance offered.
