Job Summary

The OSP Foreman plays a key role in the operations team, overseeing the delivery and execution of all Outside Plant (OSP) tasks on-site. This position is responsible for supervising crews, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring all work meets quality and customer expectations. The OSP Foreman provides leadership, coordination, and technical guidance to field teams while supporting project management through reporting, communication, and process adherence. This is a direct hire position based in New Albany, OH, with opportunities for continued industry training and professional development.

Job Responsibilities

Report directly to the onsite OSP Superintendent and follow all assigned directives and schedules

Collaborate closely with the OSP Superintendent on daily operations, scheduling, and performance tracking

Ensure accurate timekeeping by confirming eTime entries are completed daily in accordance with company policy

Capture weekly updates from Leads and report to the OSP Superintendent

Attend weekly sync meetings to review project progress and milestones

Oversee productivity and adherence to scheduled milestones

Ensure site safety compliance and promote safe work practices among team members

Coordinate with OSP Field Technicians and other contractors to execute assigned work

Manage and control labor allocation on assigned projects to ensure efficiency

Inspect and verify the quality of work aligns with customer and company standards

Assess team member strengths and identify areas for training and development

Recommend and support ongoing training for OSP Field Technicians to enhance performance and technical capability

Ensure all team members adhere to customer and company rules, policies, and procedures

Validate and track project data, including quality metrics, efficiency, and delivery milestones

Confirm all materials required for build completion are available and accurate

Participate in customer design and build review meetings as requested

Support both new deployment and live site/production requests

Collaborate with project management to introduce new technologies, software, and operational tools

Ensure compliance with all safety certifications and standards throughout project execution

Job Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the installation of OSP infrastructure, including Maxcell, Innerduct, Microduct, Fiber cable, and related equipment

Proven ability to lead and manage multiple crews on midsize to large-scale projects

Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills

Ability to forecast labor needs and client deliverables

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Project)

Experience documenting project lessons learned and maintaining accurate project records

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interpret and understand blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams

Knowledge of OSP construction methods and installation standards

Understanding of copper and fiber installation, terminations, certifications, and troubleshooting

Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with local installation standards and applicable codes

Documented leadership experience with a focus on team development and growth

Clear understanding of safety requirements and job site points of contact

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods, with occasional sitting

Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and visual communication

Manual dexterity to operate equipment, computers, and related tools

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Ability to pull cables and climb ladders or work on raised platforms
