Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring an OH or Compact RN license and experience with adult and geriatric surgical patients.

Job Details

• Work in the PCU of a teaching hospital,

• Unit has 22 beds and serves an average daily census of 20 patients,

• Adult and geriatric patient population with burn, plastic/reconstructive, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgical cases,

• Perform specialized procedures including burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy,

• Uses Epic for documentation and Pyxis for medication management,

• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM,

• Weekend coverage required every other or third weekend,

• Floating within the hospital system is required,

Job Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license in hand,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required,

• Previous charge RN or teaching hospital experience preferred,

• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients with surgical needs strongly preferred,

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred,

• Two professional references, with at least one from a supervisor or leadership position, required,

• Support services available include IV/pharmacy, respiratory, physical therapy, social work, transport, and rapid response teams,

• Must complete Ohio-specific fingerprinting promptly after contract signing,

• Time off requests must be submitted at the time of application,
