Your role and responsibilities
As a Delivery Consultant, you will work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with your clients' goals. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills such as problem-solving issue- / hypothesis-based methodologies, communication, and service orientation skills. As a member of IBM Technology Expert Labs, a team that is client focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical, you'll collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges. Help clients Install and configure latest Linux on IBM Z/LinuxONE hardware, Create/update hardware configuration using IBMs HMC console and perform Linux on Z/LinuxONE Software and migration installations services.
Required technical and professional expertise
Required Skills:
Experience deploying and/or administering Linux on IBM Z or LinuxONE
Experience working with Redhat, Canonical Ubuntu, or SUSE Linux distributions
Knowledge with Redhat OpenShift
Experience in client facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, creating presentations, presenting to client staff, and speaking at an executive level
Experience working with clients that demonstrate Strong problem determination and debugging skills
Experience administering Linux system including installation, maintenance, storage, and networking aspects including Fiber Channel
Preferred technical and professional experience
Preferred Skills:
Consultative knowledge on a wide array of Linux on IBM Z/LinuxONE based technologies
Experience architecting and implementing Linux migration solutions
Ability to interact with and present to client's Executive management
Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
Comfortable working with Project Management
Ability to interact with and feedback to IBM development organizations
Size and scope services engagements
