What will you do?
Works with IT Architecture staff, development team and/or IT Managers to design solutions that meet the agency’s requirements
Provides data integration and builds solutions that allow data from the DODD data stores to integrate with existing and new platform solutions
Defines integrations for both real-time and batch conditions
Configures and implements business rules, customizes data mapping and triggering events
Works to develop expertise in declarative and programming areas to contribute on complex initiatives
Utilizes online materials to set up, configure and support the design solution
Configures software tool settings to control data flow
Develops documentation to support agency applications
Adhere to Scrum methodology
Breaks down complex functionality into implementable units of work and works with team to estimate and define programming tasks
Performs code reviews to ensure standards are followed and code base is consistent
Reviews and adheres to existing coding standards
Implements error handling and logging best practices to allow quick defect or issue resolution
Develops solutions that are maintainable and reusable
Writes, reviews, implements, troubleshoots, unit tests and assists with deployments of assigned development work
Works with other senior developers to build solutions that are user-friendly, secure, stable, performant, and meet accessibility requirements
Uses approved application or tool to manage and track work activity related to assigned tasks.
Reviews, edits, and/or creates enterprise and IT artifacts, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, best practices, and proposals
Participates in development and data integration discussions with development leads stakeholders, product owners and business SME’s on the best approach to implement solutions
Consults with end-users, technical staff, management, and others
Participates in design reviews
Provides post-production support for applications varying in size, scope and impact to agency operations
Answers questions or works with technical staff on technical topics to assist in software development
Researches technical topics to share with peers or stakeholder groups
Identifies, and attends training to improve development skills and support development

36 months' combined work experience in any combination of the following\: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design including 12 months' work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
