We are currently looking to fill an immediate role at the University of Windsor. This is a part time position and will go until December 23rd 2025, with the possibility of an extension. Key Job Functions
Administrative – Purchasing & Financial
Prepares journal entries. Many entries are recurring monthly
Verifies requests for purchases and reimbursements for policy compliance (i.e. Purchasing, travel policy, etc.)
Prepares purchase requests/ orders or use P-card and administers payments of invoices.
Reconciles purchases to monthly statements and resolves any issues identified
Administers the assigned departmental budgets including trust accounts, Professional Development Funds, Travel funds and other special funds.
Provides guidance and support (as delegated) to faculty, staff, and students on use of UWinsite Finance modules
Assists in collection and compilation of data required for special reports (i.e. IQAP, funding requests, and special funds)
Administrative - Other
Prepares undergraduate student hiring paperwork to HR and timecards to Payroll
Electronic and paper file management
Acts as liaison to inform Facilities Services of Biology Building related issues that may arise and work with the Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure they get resolved.
Key Control
Ensures researchers/students in Biomedical Sciences and Integrative Biology have the correct access to buildings and rooms. Access verified with researchers or other sources, entered into Key Control System and approves those related to the Biology Building.
Other Duties
In the absence of other office staff, provides backup coverage when needed

Diploma in office administration/business/commerce/accounting and/or experience in an financial support position as it relates to the duties of the position
Knowledge in accounting processes
Experience in a computerized accounting system e.g. UWinsite Finance
Experience and knowledge in the application of financial policies
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, discretion, integrity and sound judgement at all times
Ability to take initiative along with strong problem solving and analytical skills
Well organized, able to maintain tight reporting deadlines as well as be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent written and oral communication and attention to detail/accuracy
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Teams), Adobe, use of electronic mail, and the Internet are required. If qualified and interested, please email your resume to
