Position: Java Software Engineer

Location: Plano, TX or Remote anywhere US

Pay Rate: $80/hr, C2C

Agency:

Acknowledges the above information and agrees to submit Candidate for this position and Client exclusively through Maxonic.

Confirms that Candidate has not been submitted to this Client for this position in the past six months.

Will not directly or indirectly submit Candidate to this Client, for any other position, for a period of at least 10 working days from the date of acceptance of this email.

Agrees to protect Maxonic's relationship rights with Client, and as such, agrees to keep all information related to the Client, Client managers and position confidential for a period of at least twelve months from the date of this email.

Agrees not to solicit or accept business from Client without Maxonic's explicit written permission.

Unless agreed to early to by Maxonic, agency affirms that it is the direct employer and currently holds the H1 of Candidate, and will send verifying documents (H1) to Maxonic within 24 hours as proof.

Agrees that if Candidate is placed for the above position, Agency will invoice Maxonic on a monthly basis. Maxonic will make payments to Agency Net 45 (3% Net 10).

Agrees that if an offer is extended for the above position, Candidate will accept the position with the terms above.

Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end development of services across backend(Java/Spring) and integration platforms.

Build and extend APIs and data services (micro-services) to enable partner integrations and downstream systems

Integrate and operationalize AI-powered developer tools (e.g. Copilot, Cursor) and contribute to incorporating ML-backed capabilities into platform workflows

Collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, operations, and data teams to solve complex real-world problems like data and interface integrations, data enrichment, and automated decision rules.

Translate business requirements to technical design specifications

Qualifications:

Experience: 8+ years of working as a Java engineer

Is well-versed in technologies such as Java & Spring, including strong understanding of microservices architecture. Experience building file (EDI, CSV), messaging based integrations (Kafka) will be a plus

Nice to have experience building frontend features in React/Angular, even if not your primary focus

Extensive experience workings hands on with native cloud capabilities (SaaS, PasS) with AWS/GCP

Has hands-on experience with data architecture, SQL/PostgreSQL and building data intensive services and solutions

Use AI-enhanced development tooling like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or WindSurf as part of your regular development workflow

Strong communication to clearly communicate up, down and across teams
