Knowledge and Experience:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Verifiable CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a Passenger Endorsement
5 years of driving experience preferred; 3 years required which must be verifiable through DMV
Strong knowledge of the service area (Multi County area including DC) is preferred
Professionally groomed and uniformed at all time
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must have a clean verifiable driver record (no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years)
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
Customer Service Experience is required
High degree of comfort working with people with disabilities.
Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and decision making skills
Must be able and willing to work Monday - Sunday - split shift schedules - according to bid selection/award Please note: Job duties or specific job title could vary; where covered by a collective bargaining agreement the provisions of that agreement may prevail.
Core Competencies / Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle Pre-Trip Inspection
Operate 45 ft Over the Road Motor Coach
Complete Pre-Trip Inspection Report and deposit copy
Report any corrections to Dispatch and or Maintenance Supervisor
Operate his/her vehicle in a safe and courteous manner at all times
Observe and obey all posted speed limits and traffic laws
Maintain a current Commercial Driver's License current, DOT Card
Report any changes in their driving record immediately upon change
Document all times, passenger counts, incidents, or any other information requested
Assist with ADA passengers to ensure safe transport
Will follow all safety requirements as instructed by safety manager
Other duties as required

Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. If applying for a safety sensitive position, it may require a physical examination.
