Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position in Ohio requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and an active OH or compact license.

Job Details

• Work as a Critical Care Float Pool RN in a hospital setting,

• Float between Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU units based on staffing and acuity needs,

• Weekend night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,

• Nurses will float to units of equal or lower acuity as required,

• Uses Epic for charting and documentation,

Job Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration,

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,

• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required,

• Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management,

• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required,

• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisory role,

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred,

Additional Information

• Must be flexible to float between various ICU specialty units as needed,

• All time off requests must be submitted at the time of application,

• Mandatory fingerprinting process for OH must be completed promptly upon contract signing,

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,

• Former employees eligible after a 6-month break from facility employment,

• Current employees of Ohio State University hospitals are ineligible for assignment as travelers,
