Core Molding Technologies is hiring a Quality Engineer to support process improvement, root cause analysis, and product quality in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, and Purchasing to drive quality outcomes that meet our standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
Analyze product/process failures and lead root-cause investigations
Support corrective and preventative action (CAPA) efforts
Respond to customer complaints and audit failures
Own and manage IATF 16949 QMS processes
Develop PFMEAs, control plans, and quality documentation
Conduct supplier quality audits and manage non-conformances
Track quality metrics, trends, and reports
Support APQP, MRB, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
3+ years in a quality engineering or manufacturing role
Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001/14001 standards
Experience with SPC, MSA, CAPA, and technical writing
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Minitab
Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T Preferred
ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, etc.)
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
Internal auditor experience
Experience in automotive or plastics manufacturing Benefits
