Summary:

Huntington is looking for qualified candidates to become Escrow Loan Closers who coordinate preparation of loan closing packages, including closing instructions, collection of final figures for completion of the HUD-1, cutting checks and disbursing funds, necessary to ensure the marketability of loans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Interface with closing agents to ensure firm closing dates and accurate completion of loan files.

May preside over closing as an authorized representative of the company, ensuring all requirements have been satisfied, including insurance, guarantee, etc.

Issue wire fund transfers as required.

Assure payoffs are accurate and delivered timely.

Work in conjunction with title agent to clear any impeding title matters.

Reconcile general ledger escrow account monthly.

Reviewing mortgages and deeds to ensure they are recorded in a timely manner.

Cutting checks and disbursing funds, necessary to ensure the marketability of loans. Interface with closing agents to ensure firm closing dates and accurate completion of loan files.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma

3+ years loan closing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of legal requirements and regulations covering FHA, VA, GNMA, FNMA and FHLMC.
