Hospital Access Representative

Position Highlights

Department: Hospital Access - Shoreline Medical Center

Hours: Part-Time/24 hours (This is a benefits eligible position).

Shift: Days, 1st shift

Shift Details: 2 week rotating schedule (requires every other weekend)

Week 1: Sunday, Monday and Friday 6:30am-3pm

Week 2: Monday 6:30am-3pm, Tuesday 7:30am-4pm and Saturday 6:30am-3pm

Position Summary:

Responsible for various patient-related access duties which include registering and processing patients to ensure Department and Hospital access and financial goals are achieved.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Proficient typing/keyboard skills

Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced customer service environment

Excellent communication skills (telephone, written, and inter-personal)

Flexibility of hours necessary to ensure department scheduling are met

Professional appearance

One year experience in a hospital or medical office including insurance and medical terminology
