South Carolina Nursing Job Details

Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs)

Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital

Unit: Family Medicine 7A – 18-bed Medical Surgical Unit

Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)

Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,420 - $1,530

Patient Ratio: 1:4–1:5

Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month

Holiday Rotation: Yes

Float Requirement: May float to similar medical-surgical units

Charting: EPIC EMR

Scrub Color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact Registered Nurse license (pending license considered with proof of application)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting

BLS certification required

First-time travel nurses welcome

Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend/holiday rotations

Proficient in isolation precautions, oxygen administration, peripheral IV line care, and rapid response/code team protocols

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with chronic and acute medical conditions

Monitor patient status, administer medications, and perform comprehensive assessments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records

Participate in emergency response teams, including hurricane season preparedness

Float to similar medical-surgical units as needed to support hospital operations

Follow hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
