Job Title: Registered Nurse – MS/Tele (Med/Surgical Float Pool)

Location: Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OH 43210

Job Duration: 16 weeks

Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Qualifications

Education & Licensure:

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program.

Current RN license in Ohio (compact or state license acceptable at time of submission).

BCLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in a Med/Surgical setting.

Float or charge nurse experience preferred.

Prior teaching hospital, trauma I/II, and travel experience is advantageous.

Clinical Skills:

IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line management, PICC lines, blood product administration.

Respiratory care: HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy.

Neurological/psychiatric patient care: spinal cord injury, TBI, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery.

Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, PCA, vasoactive and cardiac drips (no titration).

Feeding tube management, wound care, isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols.
