We are seeking a General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in a picturesque area near Manti, Utah. This is an excellent opportunity to support a local healthcare facility and enjoy a flexible schedule with competitive compensation. Key Details:

Coverage Type: Call Only (24-hour shifts, 7:00 AM 7:00 AM)

Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient

Patient Volume: 0-5 per shift

Admissions: 2-5 per shift

Call Back Rate: 20% Required Skills:

The provider must be proficient in:

General surgery procedures such as laparoscopic surgery, appendectomy, and hernioplasty

Endoscopic procedures (upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy)

Diagnostic and therapeutic scopes

Basic trauma management

Minor orthopedic and vascular surgery Additional Details:

Trauma Level: Level IV

EMR System: eCW & MedHost

Board Eligibility: Board-eligible candidates accepted; certification preferred but not required

Credentialing Timeframe: Approx. 3 days once application is submitted

Support Staff: TBD; no teaching or resident supervision required Licensure and Certifications:

Active Utah license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility required

ACLS certification required; BLS, PALS, ATLS not required Compensation and Benefits:
