Project Executive
The Project Executive is pivotal in leading and managing the overall direction of Mid-City Electric’s projects, ensuring on-time, successful delivery within budget. This role requires a strategic leader who can collaborate effectively with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results. The Project Executive will be responsible for multiple projects, driving performance, resolving issues, and mentoring project managers and teams.
Successful Project Executives:
Oversee project execution from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring alignment with company objectives and goals.
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Lead, mentor, and guide project management teams to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement.
Monitor project progress and implement strategies to address potential risks and challenges, including scope changes, delays, and cost overruns.
Drive a safety culture by ensuring all projects comply with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Foster strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and expand opportunities for future projects.
Provide senior leadership with regular and transparent project updates, including financial performance, project status, and key metrics.
Assist in developing proposals, project bids, and contract negotiations.
Key Experience Needed for Consideration:
Construction Management, Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent -OR- extensive experience in electrical service work combined with training and demonstrated leadership experience.
Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, financial, and engineering principles.
Understanding of the market and ability to secure business opportunities in line with the company's service offerings.
Ability to maximize employee performance through innovative and effective management techniques.
Thorough understanding of industry standards, best practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities.
Proficiency with project management and estimating software, MS Office Suite, and Google Workspace. Accubid, Spectrum, and P6 experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.). Comfortable presenting to different groups of all sizes.
