Travel Nursing Job Details
Location: Evansville, Indiana 47713
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Med/Surg Unit
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)
Hours per Week: 36
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (preference for 16-26 week assignments)
Start Date: December 1, 2025 (ASAP start available)
Openings: 2 Registered Nurse positions
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state
BLS Certification (required before first shift)
ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
Minimum 1 year of recent clinical bedside experience (2 years preferred)
Med/Surg nursing experience or related specialty highly desired
Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Deliver patient-centered care by implementing individualized nursing care plans
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff
Promote patient safety by following hospital protocols and clinical best practices
Participate in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning from admission
Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities
Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study
Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and unit operations
