Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Columbus, OH 43210

Assignment Type: Travel Nursing

Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Float Pool (MS/Tele)

Start Date: January 5, 2026

End Date: April 27, 2026

Contract Duration: 16 weeks

Shifts: 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week (07:00 – 19:30)

Total Hours: 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,940 - $1,990

Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics

Float Requirement: Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry RN role

Active RN license (compact or Ohio state nursing license required)

Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

BLS certification required

ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred

Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring

Experience with EPIC electronic health records

Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:4-5

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Travel nursing experience required

Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Two professional references required (one from a manager/director or supervisor)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting

Float to various hospital units as needed

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry

Initiate and manage IVs, central lines, and PICC lines

Administer medications, including cardiac drips (no titration), and manage heparin and insulin protocols

Provide wound care, tracheostomy care, and post-operative management

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC

Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed

Ensure adherence to infection control and isolation precautions

Support patients and families through education and advocacy
