Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with option to work 48 hours upon request

• 13-week contract assignment

• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to other campuses (8-11 miles apart) with 2-hour notice

• Weekend requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule

• Holiday requirement: Every other holiday

• Patient ratio: 1:3-4 during day shifts

• Required certifications: Compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS

• Minimum experience: 2 years RN experience, 1 full year stepdown experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience

• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class

• Must pass telemetry tests for EKG interpretation

• Care for cardiac patients (post cath stents/interventions, pacers), CIWA/behavioral health, sepsis, DKA, CVA patients

• Manage CPAP, feeding tubes, post-operative craniotomy patients, GI bleeds

• Required skills: Telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, insulin), post-surgical assessment/care, NIHSS/neuro assessments, dysphagia screening

• Preferred skills: Stable home vents, PleurX drain/pericardial drains, lumbar drains, VP shunts

• Uniform requirement: Navy blue scrubs with no competing health system or agency logos

• May require precepting students and new hires in teaching hospital environment

• Strong attendance policy: 3 call-ins can result in termination
