Electronics Test Technician

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced Electronics Test Technician to join our team in Oldsmar, FL for a 1-year contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role, you will perform setup, testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassembly units in support of high-performance defense systems.

Required Skills:

Minimum 1 year of direct experience testing electronic assemblies

Proficient in component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, digital, and RF circuits

Experience using schematic diagrams to isolate failures in analog and digital circuitry

Strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry

Skilled with test and measurement equipment including:

Digital multimeters

Oscilloscopes

Network analyzers

Signal generators

RF power meters

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data collection/reporting software

Experience with flying probe and high-power test systems

Preferred Skills:

Extensive RF testing experience

Familiarity with Radar systems or military avionics testing

Experience in defense manufacturing or depot-level repair environments

Military “backshop” experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

Set up test apparatus and conduct functional and performance tests of electronic assemblies and subassemblies

Adjust, calibrate, and repair electronic systems as required

Troubleshoot to the component level to identify and correct malfunctions

Review test results, recommend process or product improvements, and assist engineers in developing new test procedures

Ensure quality and accuracy of testing in accordance with established procedures and standards

Maintain accurate documentation of test data and maintenance actions

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Additional specialized technical training or an associate degree in electronics preferred

Additional Details:

Candidates demonstrating advanced skill and extensive RF/military electronics experience will be considered for higher pay rates
