The ideal candidate is a local to the Timmins area and is an experienced heavy equipment operator who can perform general labor jobs when required.

Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment to complete a variety of job tasks to assist with construction projects

Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment

Conduct daily equipment inspections reports on equipment before use

Report any repair issues or equipment hazards immediately

Secure special attachments to equipment

Assist with general labor duties when needed, in order to complete construction projects

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

Complete daily paperwork detailing job hours and job hazards

Comply with all company policies and procedures

Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

Snow removal duties on surface

Required Qualifications:

Safe work record

Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification

Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment

Physically fit with strong stamina

Ability to follow safe working procedures on surface

Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team

Speak, read, and write English

Thorough knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations as they pertain to the workplace

Local to the Timmins community

14/14 rotation, 12 hours shifts, Steady Nights
